Oliver Friday Night World Cup Series​​​

Get ready for something new in the South Okanagan! The Oliver

Friday Night World Cup Series is a game-focused program

built for players who love to compete, play real matches,

and be part of a team environment. This program is open to all

players in the region — not just current South Okanagan FA

members.

All sessions are run South Okanagan FA coaches to ensure a

structured, positive, and well-organized experience each week.

​

What to Expect

This 6-session series runs every other Friday, beginning April 17, at the Tuc-el-Nuit school fields in Oliver.

Players will be grouped for balanced competition:

• Group A: 2016–2015

• Group B: 2014–2013

​

Coaches will create balanced teams within each age group that remain together for the full program.

Teams will represent World Cup teams, adding excitement, pride, and a strong sense of identity each week.

​

Each session includes:

• Coach-led group warm-up

• Age groups split into their teams

• 7v7 or 8v8 matches

• Weekly updated standings

• A Championship Week to crown division winners

​

Game Times

To ensure all teams have a great game day experience, the two start times will be:

• 5:00pm – 6:00pm

• 6:15pm – 7:15pm

Your child’s assigned time will depend on their team and age group.

Standings & Finals

Teams earn points each week, with standings updated throughout the program. During the final session, teams will play placement matches based on standings to determine overall champions in each age group.

​

Player Pathway Opportunity

This program is also an excellent stepping-stone into our South Okanagan FA Development Teams. Coaches will be watching for:

• Attitude

• Effort

• Coachability

• Understanding of the game

• Teamwork

Players who demonstrate strong development traits may be invited to future opportunities.
